And the Smart Lighting Control System provides both lighting and air-conditioning control of the entire apartment, with temperature control, light switching/dimming functionality and pre-configured light scenes.

Central to the entire solution is the KNX PolarBear SCADA System (original German name EisBär), along with the SIP Server software for the Voice and Video Intercom System. In addition, the PolarBear SCADA System logs the energy monitoring data continuously to a dedicated SQL Server, thus providing a historical log for several years.

The energy monitoring for all apartments and the common area is achieved with kilowatt hour meters, connected to multiple Modbus networks, all interrogated by the PolarBear SCADA System. The Voice and Video Intercom System utilises the same backbone infrastructure. It offers intercom functionality to every apartment via the touch screen, four door stations at each of the main entries, sophisticated intercom station at the Concierge, as well as intercom stations throughout the building and fire stairwells on every floor.
